چکیده

We extend the spatial -Fleming–Viot process introduced in [Electron. J. Probab. 15 (2010) 162–216] to incorporate recombination. The process models allele frequencies in a population which is distributed over the twodimensional torus T(L) of sidelength L and is subject to two kinds of reproduction events: small events of radius O(1) and much rarer large events of radius O(Lα) for some α ∈ (0,1]. We investigate the correlation between the times to the most recent common ancestor of alleles at two linked loci for a sample of size two from the population. These individuals are initially sampled from “far apart” on the torus. As L tends to infinity, depending on the frequency of the large events, the recombination rate and the initial distance between the two individuals sampled, we obtain either a complete decorrelation of the coalescence times at the two loci, or a sharp transition between a first period of complete correlation and a subsequent period during which the remaining times needed to reach the most recent common ancestor at each locus are independent. We use our computations to derive approximate probabilities of identity by descent as a function of the separation at which the two individuals are sampled.

Path-properties of the tree-valued Fleming–Viot process

We consider the tree-valued Fleming–Viot process, (Xt)t≥0, with mutation and selection as studied in Depperschmidt, Greven and Pfaffelhuber (2012). This process models the stochastic evolution of the genealogies and (allelic) types under resampling, mutation and selection in the population currently alive in the limit of infinitely large populations. Genealogies and types are described by (isom...

Tree - Valued Resampling Dynamics ( Martingale Problems and Applications

The measure-valued Fleming-Viot process is a diffusion which models the evolution of allele frequencies in a multi-type population. In the neutral setting the Kingman coalescent is known to generate the genealogies of the " individuals " in the population at a fixed time. The goal of the present paper is to replace this static point of view on the genealogies by an analysis of the evolution of ...

Reversibility of Interacting Fleming-Viot Processes with Mutation, Selection, and Recombination

Reversibility of the Fleming-Viot process with mutation, selection, and recombination is well understood. In this paper, we study the reversibility of a system of Fleming-Viot processes that live on a countable number of colonies interacting with each other through migrations between the colonies. It is shown that reversibility fails when both migration and mutation are non-trivial.

The spatial Lambda-Fleming-Viot process: an event-based construction and a lookdown representation

We construct a measure-valued equivalent to the spatial Λ-Fleming-Viot process (SLFV) introduced in [Eth08]. In contrast with the construction carried out in [Eth08], we fix the realization of the sequence of reproduction events and obtain a quenched evolution of the local genetic diversities. To this end, we use a particle representation which highlights the role of the genealogies in the attr...

On criteria of disconnectedness for Λ - Fleming - Viot support ∗

The totally disconnectedness of support for superBrownian motion in high dimensions is well known. In this paper, we prove that similar results also hold for ΛFleming-Viot processes with Brownian spatial motion provided that the associated Λ-coalescent comes down from infinity fast enough. Our proof is another application of the lookdown particle representation for Λ-Fleming-Viot process. We al...
